Posture & Gait Assessment

All new clients at City Biomechanics begin with a detailed posture and gait analysis — including photos of your standing posture and videos of your walking or running mechanics.

This session allows us to assess how your body currently moves, identify imbalances, and design a training approach that’s tailored specifically to you.

You’ll be introduced to key Functional Patterns principles, and begin working on foundational movements that will support long-term structural improvements. It’s also a chance to experience how this system differs from conventional training — with a clear focus on fixing posture, enhancing movement, and reducing pain.

Note: Completing the Functional Patterns 10-week online course before this assessment is strongly recommended. It gives you a solid base to build on and helps accelerate your progress once you start working in person.

1-on-1 Functional Patterns Training

Working one-on-one with a Functional Patterns practitioner means every session is tailored specifically to your body, your imbalances, and your goals.

We focus on addressing the root causes of dysfunction through biomechanically sound training — helping you make real, measurable changes to your posture, movement, and overall function.

At the core of this work are corrective exercises (chambers) — powerful, unique to Functional Patterns tools designed to reconnect and reorganise your body in ways you likely haven’t experienced before. As your process develops, we’ll guide you through the broader Functional Patterns protocols, which include, nutrition, sleep, stress management and others.

Our approach is results-driven — always aiming to create long-term structural change, not just short-term relief.

Semi-Private Training Sessions (Coming soon)

(For active City Biomechanics clients only — max 3 participants)

Once you’ve established a foundation through 1-on-1 sessions, you’ll have the option to join our semi-private training sessions — designed to reinforce your understanding of Functional Patterns while training alongside others on a similar path.

These sessions offer a focused, hands-on environment where you can apply what you’ve learned in your personal training — with close supervision from your practitioner. While being around like minded individuals solving problems.
